Not over the internet. www.annualcreditreport.com gives free reports but all of the bureaus charge for the FICO scores. You might be able to get your bank or credit union to run your credit for you without charge.

the bank pulling your credit report has no impact on your ability to get your free credit report. Go to annualcreditreport.com to get it. tba

Are we entitled to an annual free credit report? WHERE can I get it? I went to Equifax website, but it asked me for my credit card info. I don’t feel comfortable to give out my credit card info if it is a free why they ask for credit card number?

I know there are dozens of sites that offer a free credit report where you must sign up for a free 30-day trial of some program that monitors your credit. Is there any site that doesnt need this subscription? If not, is this method safe?

I have only have one revolving credit card, and I have a selfsame high credit score. Because of this overall score they subsequently increase my credit line, even though I don’t ask for or use this revolving line of credit. Question? I have been told if you ask for a credit rim decrease they lower your overall credit score? Why? What can you do to minimize a lowered credit score?

I say keep the cards open because with a low balance on the card and a richly limit it definitely make your credit look break. Don’t worry about having that much credit in your name unless you plan on purchasing a loan from a bank. You aren’t using the card anyway, right?

You can get free annual credit reports from each of the three credit bureaus online thru AnnualCreditReport.com. The reports are free, scores are not.You can buy your real FICO tally at MyFico.com. Never pay for non-FICO score.CreditKarma.com and Quizzle.com both offer free score estimators. They are not FICO but are within 50 points or so. Good enough if you are just curious about your score.

Every time I try to get a free credit report, I’m told to sign up for a free trail period and after that my credit card would be charged unless I notify them to cancel. I just want the free report without all the red tape and not have to sign up for a monthly fee.
