The thing about the free credit report is that it doesn&#039;t automaticallly entitle you to -all- of the information that would be useful to you. Just the report itself. 

After some research, here&#039;s what I did: 
went to identitygaurd.com and signed up for their free15 day trial (after I got the information I needed, I cancelled it without any problems, though admittedly if I were a higher risk for identity theft, I&#039;d probably have kept it...it&#039;s a great site all around). 

With it, for free, I got all three bureaus&#039; reports (also not something you&#039;re entitled to at most sites), my score from all three bureaus and a bunch of other information like how to go about correcting information on my reports. 

I recommend this route and if you can afford it, keep it for at least a month so that their great service actually gets somethign for it :) 

You will need a credit card number, but you can cancel pretty immediately.
