Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) December 21, 2011

The Federal Reserve’s Research Center for Behavioral Economics and Decision making in an unpublished study found that consumers who lack patience are more prone to default on their credit cards and their mortgages.

The research, scheduled to be published in the January issue of Psychological Science, was conducted by Stephan Meier, an associate professor at Columbia University and Charles Sprenger, associate professor at Stanford University. The study set out to “show an association between how people think about the future, how impatient they are and their credit decisions” said Meier. What it showed is that people who favor immediate gratification over delayed gratification might prove greater credit risks to credit card issuers and mortgage lenders.

Judi Lisbin, speaking on behalf of GetCreditRepair.org, a credit repair organization said, “Consumers who opt for immediate gratification by defaulting on their credit cards or mortgage payments in order to have more money in the present, will experience higher expenses in the future due to the drop in their credit scores. The lower credit scores can lead to higher interest rate loans and credit cards, denial of a job, refusal of a landlord to lease and higher insurance costs.”

The test conducted by the researchers asked 437 low-to-moderate-income individuals seeking credit and counseling help at a community center if they could get $ 49 now or $ 50 in a month, which would they take and most would take the $ 49 now. They reduced the number to $ 20 now or $ 50 in a month, at which point most participants said no, they would wait a month. The study found a direct correlation between impatience and poor credit scores and the less patient an individual’s behavior, the lower their credit score.

Lisbin said, “There is a lesson in this research for consumers. If they recognize themselves as impatient people, they should evaluate their spending. Perhaps step back and consider that next purchase; do I need this now or can I wait so that my credit score is not damaged?”

Luxury Condo Ownership at Summit Heights Condominiums Is Now Easier Thanks To Government Incentives for Middle Class Buyers

Luxury Condo Ownership at Summit Heights Condominiums Is Now Easier Thanks To Government Incentives for Middle Class Buyers

Jersey City, NJ (PRWEB) December 16, 2011

The State of New Jersey, through the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency’s Workforce housing opportunity (http://www.nj.gov/dca/hmfa/consu/buyers/close), is doing condo ownership in Jersey City easier in a hard economy, with a $ 75,000 incentive for qualified buyers who encounter eligibility requirements. Program participant Franklin Development Group (http://www.franklinluxurycondos.com), a development, construction, and real estate management firm based in Montclair, N.J., has reported that due to the success of the incentive program, only three units remain in its luxury Summit Heights Condominium, located in Jersey City Heights on the Palisades in the city’s northern section.

The premium two-bedroom units—appointed with upscale features and amenities typically found in apartments twice their price—are available for immediate occupancy at a price made especially affordable at a time when working people are struggling with financial concerns. Summit Heights’ participation in the program—which aims to bring more working people back to cities like Jersey City with strong transportation hubs and employment centers—reduces the mortgage on its spacious 1100-square-foot apartments to $ 268,000 with a down payment of only 3.5%. In addition to the $ 75,000 government incentive, and with only three units still available, Franklin Development Group will pay up to $ 8000 towards the closing costs as part of this builder closeout.

“We’ve never seen the government give this kind of housing incentive before and we urge home buyers on the market for a luxury condominium to take advantage of this opportunity,” said Paul Debellis, Jr., director of marketing for Franklin Development Group. “Summit Heights offers all the conveniences of city living with some unique features that make these units an even best value in today’s real estate market.” To qualify for the government incentive, applicants must make a minimum of $ 65,000 a year and have a credit score of at least 600.

Summit Heights is well located in a thriving Jersey City neighborhood overlooking Manhattan; it is within walking holding of major transportation, shopping, and parks, with an easy commute to employment hubs in downtown Jersey City as well as New York City. It is directly crosswise the street from a shopping center, a block from a bus to downtown’s Journal Square and the PATH station, and near the light rail that connects points throughout Jersey City and Bayonne.

Deluxe Appointments, Energy Efficiency
Debellis noted that the Summit Heights units are larger than many other two-bedrooms on the market by several hundred square feet. They boast granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and dark cherry kitchen cabinets, lots of windows that let in plenty of natural light, and wood floors. For added convenience, security, and value each unit includes a deeded parking space that belongs to the condo owner in the building’s private garage. There is also a private fitness center for tenants with a view of the New York skyline.

In addition, the building has attained the prestigious silver level of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification for its energy efficiency and sustainability measures and its commitment to improved environmental quality.

“Jersey City has so much to offer its residents, between the pressing transit, shopping, dining, and city lifestyle,” said Debellis. “For people who desire to dwell near to where they work, and be correct across the river from Manhattan, there’s ne’er been a better time to act advantage of this unprecedented opportunity to purchase in at Summit Heights.”

Summit Heights Condominiums are located at 1201 Summit Avenue in Jersey City, at the corner of Secaucus Road. Info about credit score, housing loan, credit check(whats my credit score)

Info about credit score, housing loan, credit check(whats my credit score)

Article by Shane Lee

This article is about questons like: the credit score and mortgage, credit score and loan, whats my credit score, how to check my credit score, etc.

In the U.S., every one has a social security number (SSN). This SSN will follow you for your entire life. If you screwed up something, it will be reported to the HOGAN system. This system is so powerful that all the info about a person’s debt, credit card number, bank accounts, etc can be inquiried from it once a SSN is entered. One thing I need to mention here is the credit card late payment issue. If you have only just one late payment (less than 90 days), maybe your credit score is not going to be affected. But for a late payment of more than 90 days. It will be a big problem for your credit score and credit report. Sometimes you will get a 100 points deduction from your credit score if you make a mistake like this. One of my friends once forgot to pay his credit card bill and this late payment (more than 90 days) made his credit hit drop from 708 to 604 in a month. ( you tin get more information about “whats my credit score” at Whats My Credit Score Dot Travel2ChinaInfo Dot COM ) When he found this big mistake he made, he paid his credit card debt immediately. But it still takes a while for him to restore his credit score. Actually, the populating paying all his credit card debts every month will not get the high credit score. You credit score will be better if you just pay the minimum payment every month. Because you will need to pay for the interests if you choose to pay the minimum payment of your credit card bills. This is the way the banks and credit card companies like most. It is like a debt which takes forever for the credit card holder. But lots of American people like to pay the credit card bills this way.:-)

About the ascribe check and credit inquiry: I don’t recommend people to apply for too many credit cards in a short period of time. Because you will get a hard credit inquiry every time you apply for a new credit card. You credit score will be affected if you have too many credit inquiries. In the U.S., every one tin get a complimentary annual credit report (with no credit score in it) and the web site is: annualcreditreport constellate com (The AnnualCreditReport Dot com website is lonesome accessible through ISPs (Internet Service Providers) located within the United States and its territories.) You tin check this web site if you are interested. If you have the question like “whats my credit score?”, you can use the free trial from CreditReport Dot COM or MyFICO Dot COM. From CreditReport Dot COM, you tin get a 7 day free trail of 3 bureau attributing monitoring and credit tallying tracking. For the MyFICO Dot COM, you tin get your free FICO score and credit report, 2 free Equifax FICO scores and credit reports, 90% of the largest U.S. banks use FICO hit. (Score Watch 30-Day Free Trial)

Credit score and financial crisis: I think an identical important reason of this financial crisis is the banks’ not caring too much about the applicants’ credit score. Because of this, the people with identical low credit score can still get their housing loans. Even the people who has bankruptcy records in his/her credit report can tranquillize get his/her house mortgage. Sometimes they tin get the % down payment too. This is too risky for the banks. When the housing price drops, these people will not be able to pay their housing loans and the banks will be affected too. Now the banks require the applicants to have a credit score of at least 700 when applying for the housing loans. They also prefer the applicants with a clear credit history. Although the housing price dropped and lots of people think this is a good time to buy houses, to get the house mortgage from the banks is another story now. ( you can get more information about “whats my credit score” at Whats My Credit Score Dot Travel2ChinaInfo Dot COM )

Credit score and microfinance: I once had an intern in Grameen Foundation and my work is about the loan applications from the poor people. In the U.S., the poor people will not get a very good credit score. (or don’t have any credit score) Because of this, the banks do not want to lend them money. All they can ask is the microfinance organizations. I saw lots poor people, they really need money from the banks. But they are not able to get loans from them because of their bad credit score and credit report. The good thing about this microfinance is that they will not consider things like credit score or credit report at all. It cares more about the applicants’ personality. If the applicant is poor but he/she is honest and condifent about his/her future, he/she can still get loans from these microfinance organizations. In my point of view, this is not just about money. This is about giving hopes and chances to the poor people. Although it is not smart to lend money to the poor people with band credit score in most American people’s mind, the poor people still need a chance to pursuing better lifes in the realistic capitalism system.

Lucas Ford Dealership in Burlington, NJ Must Begin Clearing Existing Inventory During Year-End Sales in Anticipation of Incoming 2012 Stock

Lucas Ford Dealership in Burlington, NJ Must Begin Clearing Existing Inventory During Year-End Sales in Anticipation of Incoming 2012 Stock

Burlington, NJ (PRWEB) November 11, 2011

Lucas Ford of Burlington, NJ is getting ready to have to slash prices in order to start wheeling and dealing for the upcoming year-end sales that are looming on the horizon. With plenty of inventory in stock to clear, this should translate to significant savings for consumers of both new and used automobiles. Ford has seen considerable success this year with many of its models being named on several prestigious “Best” lists, and this bodes well for the car-buying public the world over. Ford is known world wide as a leader in the automotive industry for high quality, longevity, and durability in its products. And they are always striving to not only set the bar to the next level in automotive excellence, but to jump right over the top of it in a constant effort to not only set itself apart from its competitors, but to leave them in the dust. And with the introduction of several new safety features such as SYNC with MyFord and BLIS along with SiriusXM with Travel Link, it would appear that they’ve been taking things pretty seriously. Lucas Ford knows this, and their 65-plus year relationship with Ford attests to it. This works out well for auto consumers looking for a new Ford in Burlington or an used Ford in Burlington.

Take the Ford Edge, for example, from Ford’s Crossover line. The new Ford Edge is now available with BLIS with Cross Traffic Alert and the SYNC with MyFord Touch safety systems, the latest safety features in a growing trend toward keeping both drivers and passengers on the road a whole lot safer from accidents that are traditionally associated with operator error. Blind spot information system technology, or BLIS, alerts you to a vehicle in a blind spot zone with an indicator light in the rear view mirror. Cross Traffic Alert provides audible and visual signals of a vehicle approaching when you’re slowly backing out of a parking spot or driveway. SYNC with MyFord Touch is available on most models and works in conjunction with Smart Phones to give you a safer driving experience while interacting with today’s modern features available on most new phones. It offers hands-free calling and audible text messaging along with 911 assistance as well as driver assisted turn-by-turn directions, traffic alerts, business searches, and 411. It’s also got entertainment options available such as voice-activated music, internet connectivity, and news, sports, and weather. This is all part of Ford’s vehicle interaction revolution.

The Edge also comes with a host of other great safety features including a rear view cam, side curtain airbags, and includes not only a remote start system but a push button start. Also available is the SiriusXM Traffic with SiriusXM Travel Link, whose features include information on traffic speed and flow, traffic incidents and road closings, fuel prices and stations, National Weather information, sports scores and movie listings, and more. It’s got a 111.2 wheelbase, V6 3.5L/213 engine with a 6 speed transmission, and is finely appointed with a plethora of other features making this a truly attractive buy.

When most folks hear the words “Built Ford Tough” the first thing that comes to mind is Ford’s incredibly popular line of pickup trucks. The F-150 Series has been sold for over six decades and has been the most popular selling truck in the United States for 34 years running. That’s an impressive record that not only can any other truck manufacturer not beat, but they can’t even compete. These vehicles are a perfect example of the Ford legend. At Lucas Ford they’ve got new Ford trucks in Burlington and used Ford trucks in Burlington to choose from. Lucas encourages customers to come in and take a look around and test drive a vehicle of their liking to see how it feels and experience firsthand the superior drive and handling.

Lucas Ford also offers an online showroom from which to discover the tremendous inventory in stock at their dealership where customers can also apply for credit and find out in advance what they are pre-qualified for, saving time and hassle in advance. Lucas Ford of Burlington also has more than new and used Fords available. There are many different makes and models available on the lot for customers who are looking for used cars in Burlington. All of this amounts to one-stop-shopping at the Ford Dealer with more in Burlington, New Jersey, where customer satisfaction is paramount and Ford is # 1.

How does credit utilization work for credit score?

Question by Danny Lam: How does credit utilization work for credit score?
I’ve heard you should keep the credit ratio for each card at 20% or below. If I have $ 600 credit limit and I spent about $ 180 on the card, which is 30%, will this affect my credit score if I pay it off the next day? Do the attribute bureaus count credit utilization as ascribed balance carried over for that period or whenever you use that much credit limit even if you pay it off asap without carrying a balance?

Best answer:

Answer by Jeff H
The reply you get will vary by the source. I use one service that says not to go over 50%. 1/3 is the govern of thumb I see most often. You should be fine.Credit utilization may be kept that finely detailed by the lender, but the credit bureaus go from one update by the lender (credit card company) to the next billing period report. In your example, the credit bureau may not even know you did anything. IF the card is one that allows you to pay off the balance without interest in 25 days after billing, let them charge you and then pay promptly.

Get Your 3 Free Credit Reports Now, Did I Mention They were Free?

Get Your 3 Free Credit Reports Now, Did I Mention They were Free?

Article by Arielle Newman

Your credit report is available to you right now, you just have to reach out and grab it. The only thing that seems to me to hold people back is that they simply don’t know that the report is there for the taking, for free, right now. The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) is a Federal law which requires each of the Big 3 Major Credit Reporting Agencies to provide each and every American citizen with a free copy of your credit report, at your request. This law does not require you to have any reason other than curiosity to take a look at your report once every 12 months. What keeps people from actually taking advantage of this terrific federal law? It seems that the only thing keeping them from clicking on the website or calling the phone number or even sending a simple letter in the mail is knowledge. No one seems to realize that these credit reports are available for free at any time, all it takes is a little initiative and filling out a simple form. The Federal Trade Commission or the nation’s consumer protection agency, is assigned the job of enforcing the FCRA and making sure these Consumer Reporting Companies don’t treat us consumers unfairly. They are in charge of making sure to promote the privacy and accuracy of the information in the files of the Big 3 Credit Reporting Agencies. Your credit report contains information on where you live, how your bills are paid and even arrest records. The Fair Credit Reporting Act was established to help protect this private information, making sure it does not fall into the wrong hands. However, it seems that we are allowed to at least view our own information to verify it is accurate finally. The Major Credit Reporting Agencies were required by this law to establish a website, a toll free number and a mailing address with information and links to obtain these free credit reports. To order, you simply need to fill out a simple form and submit it in whichever form you desire. It is not possible to simply contact the consumer reporting companies and request it, you must go through the correct channels to get the report for free. You may order your reports from each of the three nationwide consumer reporting companies at the same time, or you can order your report from each of the companies one at a time. The law allows you to order one free copy of your report from each of the nationwide consumer reporting companies every 12 months. However a credit score is not included. There is only one website out there that can actually help you to obtain the free copy of your report. However, many other sites are springing up claiming to offer a “free” credit report, but once you get down to the “fine print” it is easy to see that the “free” report is only good for a short time and in order to get the free report, you must subscribe to the site. It turns out that what these “imposter” sites are really offering you is simply a “trial period” after which you are charged on a monthly basis for these services and to still be able to view your report. This “free” service suddenly converts to one you have to pay for after a trial period. If you don’t cancel during the trial period, you are agreeing to let the company start charging fees to your credit card. Why do you think they would ask for your credit card number anyway, if they weren’t intending to charge it.In order to obtain your free credit reports, all three of them, from the site governed by federal law, you are not in any way shape or form required to enter any credit card information. Credit Report Repair can be done simply and by yourself with time and simple tools, you just need to know the right techniques. Obtaining your credit report is the first step to improving your credit score and fix your credit rating. Even the Federal Trade Commission has stated that “anything a credit repair company can do for you legally, you can do for yourself”.Go out and get your credit report now and you can start improving your score and fixing your credit. Knowing your score and what is on your report can help you to take the first step and begin your credit repair. You simply need the right program to help you to repair your own credit and a good education about credit score repair.
